Who’s Omar Reyes?

Hey, I’m Omar. I’m a Google Ads specialist with a focus on lead generation. Currently I’m working at an agency honing my skills and gaining experience day by day.

After just a few short years in the PPC space I worked agency, in-house and manage to dip my hands in over 15+ industries.

Along with growing a Linkedin following of 7,000+ followers by interviewing some of the most interesting PPC specialist and marketers on my newsletter.


What you should know about me?

  • I studied graphic design at a local community college, put it to the side upon graduating and worked as a security officer for the majority of my 20’s.
  • I bounced around different jobs in fast food and retail.
  • After getting engaged I wanted to build a career and gain stability. I went after learning both digital marketing and Options Trading. Failed at trading and lost money.
  • I spent over a year working at internships then finally landed my first digital marketing full time job at a marketing agency specializing in the Powersport industry.
  • I eventually moved up in different agencies, increased my experience, skills and salary.
  • Lastly, I shifted towards networking harder, interviewing top professionals in the field, and developing myself in Blogging.


The Full Story About Omar Reyes

This is the story about how I became a full time Google Ads specialist and advancing in my career.

I was born and raised in a pretty rough neighborhood in Spanish Harlem, New York City.

The neighborhood has always been filled with local gangs, drugs, and crime.

My parents both moved from Puerto Rico separately and met in New York.

I spent the younger half of my life gaming and playing card games such as Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh.

Eventually during my high school years I fell in love with sports. I spent everyday outside exercising, playing street handball, baseball, basketball and even did a little bit of boxing.


Moving On…

Later I graduated from a local community college with a degree in Digital Arts: Graphic Design.

During that time the thought of working full-time made me sick. I wanted to be free and do whatever I felt like doing. Living on my own terms.

So I worked part time as a security officer and spent most of my time being a party animal. I would join online groups as communities and show up to any event I can find to meet new people.

I was chasing fun, fun and fun. Until I ran into an amazing church, full of young and diverse people.

It was a journey and transformation. Long story short I ended up leaving my wild living, becoming a believer and got baptized.


Finally Found Some Success

In my late 20’s I met a wonderful lovely lady that stole heart overseas.

I knew I needed to get stabled and start a professional career. I chose marketing as the field to break into.

After spending a ton of money on courses, failing, taking on internships I finally got a job at an agency specializing in Powersports dealerships.

I managed up to 70+ clients.

Then transition into in-house and got to learn the difference between that and the agency lifestyle and pace.

Eventually I moved back to agency specializing in Google Ads lead generation.

Oh and yes I eventually did get married! Honey moon vibes…


What’s Next?

My newsletter on Linkedin has been growing daily. My goal is to continue to grow as a digital marketing and PPC Specialist.

Next step in my profession is blog and grow in content creation.

I hope to inspire many new marketers and even seasoned professionals as I age in years and in experience.
